• Learning to Live

The Bible is the word of God, and has been given to us for our own well-being. It is in our best interest to learn and to live according to what God has said. We may make mistakes in understanding and application, but we will not willfully modify biblical teachings to accommodate our personal preferences.

We believe that the Bible sets the standard for personal faith and behavior, and for guiding the church in all that it does. Since God is the Father of this family, our major responsibility is to learn what God wants us to do and to serve Him faithfully. Our personal desires are secondary, but we are confident that whatever pleases our Father will also be to our benefit.

Some of our family members are mature, experienced Christians who have spent many years studying the Bible and learning to apply it to their lives. Others are younger in the faith and lack that experience. None of us are perfect. We sometimes struggle to be the Christians we ought to be, but since we're a family, we help each other in the struggle. We are all in the process of learning to live.

Our common bond is faith in Christ, and our common need is God's grace. Our commitment is to please God by living lives that are guided by His will as revealed in the Bible.
