Illini for Christ is an outreach program geared toward the students of University of Illinois and Parkland College. Our co-evangelists help the local body tend to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of students, both undergraduate and graduate, while they further their education away from home.

Illini for Christ is a group of young people:

  • serving God and others on the University of Illinois and Parkland campuses
  • enjoying fellowship and creating lasting friendships
  • focusing on strengthening our own relationships with God
  • encouraging others to grow in Christ

There are many activities planned throughout the academic year. One such activity is a free dinner and Bible study on Thursday Nights. At this time, students join together to study God's word, raise voices to God in songs of praise, and enjoy time with each other. This provides not only a great way to unwind after a busy week but also an opportunity to invite friends to share with them the great joy they have in Christ.

Other activities include "Monday Night Prayer and Sing", small group studies on the U of I and Parkland campuses, service projects, and "Beat the Blues" banquet. Each semester a retreat is planned to get away from busy schedules. These weekend retreats are packed with fun, food, fellowship, and a special focus on God's word. Check out the (very cool) Illini for Christ webpage to find out more!
